40 And Over...

So I came across a post that said "Are People 40 And Over Toxic For Relationships?"... When I first saw the post I was like "WTH???", but I could later see how someone could be so ignorant to feel this way...

By 40, you've been through some things... You're either Single, Married, Divorced, or Widowed... You've had multiple relationships, some good while others you aren't so proud of... You've been stood up a few times, disappointed several times, and you've even been hurt many times... You've been discriminated by younger, possibly persecuted by older, and criticized by those your age... You're constantly reminded you're getting older by statements like "Wow, you look good for your age"; "So you've never been married, why?" or how about "Should someone your age be doing that?".... You aren't toxic, you bring to the table the ability to see through the bullshit. The wisdom to know when the person you're with is the person you need to let go...

What I know for sure is... 40 and over isn't the end of the world... After 40 years of living you should be unapologetic for being you... You should be confident in your skin and not give a damn about what others think or say... 40 and over has created the person you are and still evolving into... 40 isn't the new 20 or 30, 40 is 40 and a beautiful thing... People should be very afraid of those 40 and Over not because of the perceived baggage, but because of the bullshit detector we innately possess.
